The first time I used this app, it played my videos perfectly. The next time, a few days ago, the app went haywire. It recognizes and displays my video file on a Lexar MEMORY STICK and gives me a complete list.
However now whatever video I select immediately goes to black screen after the title comes up. There is audio and there isn't audio. If a codex problem exists now, it didn't before. I have access to no settings. I have to close the app to movies and tv player windows 10 download out. Cyberlink Power to Go 10 media player was also part of my upgrade and it is operating perfectly without one single issue, using that same memory stick.

to Liezl -- I am playing MP4, MPG, and WMV videos, and all those files and more are included in that app's play list according to another Microsoft site. Again I am using Windows 10 OS and Edge. All of "your" troubleshooting suggestions are geared to using IE OS. Not one mentions Edge, and adapting some of the suggestions to this browser is problematic for me at least. Do I have to bring up IE to troubleshoot? There is no error message of any type or form.
The app doesn't work, and previous searches on line indicates that others have had the same or very similar problems with this app over the last 18 months, so I am not alone. According to the give and take, few if any at all were able to resolve the issues, unless an entirely different player was downloaded. Oddly that was one of the suggestions given when the issues couldn't be resolved. Resetting this app proved useless. The setting button within the program is very limited in nature and nothing more than a snapshot of the menu on the opening page.
